BECOMING SiRE is an intimate solo performance blending monologue, music, and storytelling to explore identity, family, isolation, and the complicated process of becoming yourself.

Drawing from his own life, Sim the Sire moves between childhood, memory, dreams, relationships, and the inner worlds we create to survive them. At its center is an artist trying to understand the forces that shaped him—and what happens when pain, loneliness, imagination, and the need to be seen are transformed into art.

Raw, funny, vulnerable, and still evolving, BECOMING SiRE invites the audience into the process rather than presenting a neatly finished destination. It is both a performance and an act of becoming in real time.

Sim the Sire is a Brooklyn-based actor, musician, writer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work moves across theater, music, and film. His work is rooted in emotional truth, curiosity, and an interest in the messy, often nonlinear process of becoming.

Trained in the Meisner technique, Sim brings an actor’s approach to his work as a storyteller, exploring identity, family, connection, isolation, and the inner lives we don’t always know how to articulate. Across songwriting, performance, and filmmaking, he is interested in turning lived experience into work that feels intimate, human, and immediate.

As his practice continues to expand across disciplines, Sim is building a body of work centered on one underlying impulse: telling the truth as deeply as he can and finding the form that truth wants to take.
